Till Eulenspiegels lustige Streiche Op.28, from our recording of Richard Strauss – Tone Poems, performed by Marc Albrecht & Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg, was used as one of the tracks in the third season of The Bear (Episode 3 – Doors)

The Bear uses classical music to enhance the emotional depth and intensity of key scenes. Classical compositions underscore moments of tension and introspection, adding sophistication to the chaotic kitchen environment. This thoughtful integration of classical music elevates the storytelling, juxtaposing the serenity of the music with the frenetic pace of the restaurant and making the characters’ internal struggles more emotionally resonant.

The Bear is a critically acclaimed dramedy that follows Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto, a fine dining chef who returns to Chicago to take over his late brother’s struggling sandwich shop. As Carmy works to turn the chaotic restaurant around, he faces challenges with the staff, financial strain, and his own personal grief. The show skillfully blends intense kitchen dynamics with emotional depth, exploring themes of family, pressure, and the pursuit of excellence.

The series has won several awards, including Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series at the 2023 Emmys and Best Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy for Jeremy Allen White at the Golden Globes.
