Album information
March 2012, PENTATONE released a tribute to Yakov Kreizberg exhibited in a double-SACD album. In the first CD, we can enjoy his conducting for the work of Antonín Dvořák including Vodník Op. 107 (The Water Goblin – Der Wassermann), Polednice Op. 108 (The Noon Witch – Die Mittagshexe), and Zlatý kolovrat Op.109.
While on the second disc, there are his performances conducting the collection of Claude Debussy, Richard Wagner, Franz Schmidt, Johann Strauss , Aram Khachaturian, Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky. This album presents Kreizberg’s collaboration with Julia Fischer, Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra, Wiener Symphoniker, and Russian National Orchestra.
