Holder of a master and secondary school teaching certificate (Sorbonne Paris IV), Luc Bertin-Hugault obtained a master in Classical Voice as well as in Chamber Music at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris en 2010. In the same year, he was also crowned as Révelation Lyrique de l’Adami. He has rapidly gained a reputation at both the French and the international stage, singing Dottor Grenvil (La Traviata), Bonzo (Madama Butterfly) and le Bourreau (Dernier Jour d’un condamné) at Avignon, Mandarino (Turandot) at Chorégies d’Orange, Eremit (Der Freischütz) at the BBC Proms in Royal Albert Hall as well as at the Opéra Comique, and Sarastro (Die Zauberflöte) at the Bouffes du Nord and in Saint-Étienne.
