Alexandra Steiner, soprano, has been a soloist with the Vienna State Opera since the 2016/17 season. In Summer 2016, she made her debut at the renowned Bayreuther Festspiele, where she will return in upcoming seasons. Her sung roles include Pamina ( Die Zauberflöte ), Susanna ( Le nozze di Figaro ), Norina ( Don Pasquale ), Gilda ( Rigoletto ) and Marzelline ( Fidelio ). Engagements saw her on stage of Deutsches Nationaltheater Weimar, Landestheater Salzburg and Saarländisches Staatstheater e.g. Upcoming highlights include Gretel at the Philharmonie Berlin under the baton of Maestro Marek Janowski. A well-known guest soloist on the concert circuit, she has worked with orchestras including the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, Bochumer Symphoniker, Berner Symphonieorchester, Bremer Philharmoniker, Camerata Wales and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Ingo Metzmacher, Cornelius Meister, Leo Hussain, Sebastian Tewinkel, Andreas Spering and Mario Venzago, e.g. Ms. Steiner's repertoire spans the spectrum from early music to Baroque to Mozart and Beethoven to Strauss, Mahler, Bruckner and Brahms.
